Mission & Purpose - Matthew 28:19-20
The purpose of Baptist Collegiate Ministry is to reach the lost, teach
the Truth of God's Word and equip students, faculty and staff for works
of service so that the body of Christ may be built up.
Vision
We see the BCM as a department of a God’s great vision ... the
establishment of His kingdom on the earth.
BCM FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
How do I join the BCM?
- Great news! Membership is free! There are no dues! If you attend one
of our events and fill out an information card, we put you in our database
and add you to our email list. You are then considered a member. We
hope you will join us!
What if I'm not Baptist?
No problem; in fact, many BCM students are from other denominations.
All students, all denominations, all faiths are welcome to attend any
BCM sponsored activities and events.
Is the BCM a church?
BCM is not the church. We are an extension of the church on campus.
We strongly encourage students to find a local church home while they
are away at college.
How do I get connected to a local church?
There are many great churches in the Hilo area and several with dynamic
ministries for college students that we can point you to. Come by the
BCM for a Church Directory and map.
What if I have more questions?
Call, email or come by the BCM if
you have any questions. We would love to meet you!
